Kokomo, IN was the launching point for the stop light, but the city is in full-go mode
with it’s new radio station Power 104.9 FM WTSX. WTSX is a multi-genre station
bringing together Soul, R & B, Hip Hop, Jazz, Reggae, EDM and Gospel, plus world
music styles. WTSX serves a previously unrepresented demographic outside of
Classic Rock and Country or “Hits” radio Platforms. Ensconced in a complex that
includes the busiest live entertainment venue in the area, which includes a full service
restaurant, Power 104.9 FM has brought a new sense of excitement to the factory
town of Kokomo. WTSX went live on air in 2014.

WTSX was granted its license as part of the FCC changes opening up additional
airwave space. The station also awaits an AM license.

Power 104.9 FM has a mobile app available on iPhone, Android, and Blackberry
devices. Wealso simulcast via web applications including iTunes, Tunein, Windows
Media Player, and WinAmp among others. Power 104.9 WTSX is registered with
Nielsen / BDS Radio

WTSX is also supportive and associated with the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Project
in Kokomo. WTSX is highly involved with the local community.
